Inspiration
People become more aware of becoming financial independent and we want to provide them with a platform where it can help them making a smart decision in trading. We also offer them the security of their asset with hedging.
What it does
This algorithm detects opportunities to make profit from current basket and stock prices, while in the same time adapting the Hedging system where we protect the asset by taking the opposite side of our trading position.
How we built it
We came up with 2 possible scenarios that could come up during each order decision. Whether we want to buy or sell stocks, same case for baskets as well. This was our starting algorithm, then basicallly we worked our way up on updating and improving it by adding required features like hedging, liquidity.
Challenges we ran into
As a starter it was very time consuming and challenging to understand the whole stock market. Finding the opportunities. Finding the right volume to trade.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We actually managed to come up with a working bot, that finds these opportunities and makes profit and reducing the risk at the same time.
What we learned
We learned how stock market works, where none of us had prior knowledge to this topic. We learned about hedging, reducing the risk, which makes the graph of the profits become more stable. Also the most important lesson is, no matter how difficult the challenge is, we can achieve the goal.
What's next for Nuprofit
We are going to make the bot more robust to the real stock market situation. And we hope that this bot will help people make smarter trading decisions.
