Inspiration
This application was inspired on the businesspersons how want has a projection off decision in his business and what is the best decision to take with his money.
What it does
The application help the user to have a registration of his transactions, businesses and generate possible scenarios to understand what they would do.
How we built it
We built the project using expressjs for the backend and react for the frontend and connect it to a postgres database
Challenges we ran into
Designing a flexible data model that could adapt to different business types (e.g., restaurants, services, or online stores). Creating accurate financial projections that respond dynamically to user inputs without overcomplicating the interface. Ensuring that calculations remained reliable and easy to interpret for users without financial expertise. Managing secure authentication and data protection, since financial information is sensitive. Balancing between technical accuracy and usability, to make the app helpful yet simple.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We developed a fully functional prototype capable of projecting business scenarios in real time. We built a clean and responsive interface that allows users to understand their financial data visually. We designed a generalized system architecture, so any entrepreneur—no matter their business type—can use it effectively. We achieved a smooth integration between frontend, backend, and database using modern development practices.
What we learned
We learned resolution of conflicts in critical and pressure moments Develop a project in 16 hours Have more comunication with the team and how to take the ideas of everyone and implements in the project
What's next for Numio
Adding multi-currency and tax support to expand usability in more regions. Building a mobile version for easier data entry and real-time notifications. Introducing collaboration features, so users can share projections with partners or accountants.
