Inspiration Our inspiration came from the desire to empower the residents of the Muhammadiyah Welfare Home, providing them with the tools to make choices and manage their needs independently. We aimed to create a solution that fosters responsibility and enhances their everyday lives.
What it does The Minimart and Voucher System allows residents to request products, earn vouchers, and oversee their accounts through a user-friendly dashboard. For staff, it streamlines user management, voucher approvals, and inventory tracking, all while generating insightful reports for better decision-making.
How we built it We developed the system using a combination of modern web technologies, focusing on responsive design for accessibility across devices. Agile methodologies guided our iterative development process, allowing us to incorporate feedback from potential users and stakeholders effectively.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges related to ensuring data security and privacy, given the sensitive nature of the information. Additionally, balancing user-friendly design with robust functionality required constant adjustments and testing to meet the diverse needs of residents and staff.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created a prototype that meets the core needs of both residents and staff, ensuring a seamless user experience. Our team also implemented a secure login system and developed reporting features that enhance operational efficiency.
What we learned
We learned the importance of user-centric design and the value of incorporating feedback at every stage of development. Additionally, we gained insights into the unique challenges faced by organizations like MWH, which deepened our commitment to creating impactful solutions.
What's next for null&void
Moving forward, we plan to refine the prototype based on user feedback, explore additional features like an auction system, and conduct further testing to ensure scalability and reliability. Our goal is to fully implement the system at MWH and potentially expand it to other similar organizations, maximizing our positive impact.
