Inspiration
I got inspired by the need for equity in education for indigenes, to make access to knowledge easy and fun for anyone anywhere in Africa through self sovereign identity (SSI).
What it does
Ntapi is building an eLearning platform that lets indigenes and individuals with middle/low income jobs, or from low income families access affordable quality education through a more open and connected edtech social media learning experience. And Ntapi Class Room enables independent tutors, institutions and educational organizations teach in English, French, Pidgin and in diverse African indigenous languages through an edtech social media teaching experience.
How I built it
I built it using Java, bootstrapping
Challenges I ran into
Lack of funds, Enrolling users through personal sales
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Having a technical partner - FasterCapital
What I learned
That education is more fun via digital community learning, and teaching/learning of digital skill sets and classical methods in indigenous languages pave way for community development, which in turn speeds up economic development at large
What's next for Ntapi
Getting more users onboard and funding.
