Inspiration
The inspiration comes from being in the library having needing to concentrate on very complex tasks and having my focus stolen from disruptive students.
The current solution is inefficient the students know ways around it, staff are also stretched working on other issues
What it does
Records noise if the sound gets above 40 Decibels for 5 seconds a POST request is sent to discord server with a message about the floor and location.
How we built it
Using Python ,and the following libraries import pyaudio import numpy ,time ,random ,requests
NP to calculate the noise in Decibels
Challenges we ran into
The location in particular the altitude , How to notify the library wether to send an email. time limit
