Inspiration
NovaED was created to give creators—especially newer and smaller creators—a better way to publish, get discovered, organize their work, and build sustainable income without stitching together multiple disconnected tools.
What it does
NovaED combines social discovery with creator business tools in one mobile-first experience:
- Pulse feed for photo and video content
- New & Rising discovery to give emerging creators a fairer path to visibility
- Creator profiles with posts, followers, saves, and engagement
- Creator Studio for drafts, publishing, content management, and analytics
- Creator analytics for engagement and audience performance
- Nova Companion and creator-assistance tools for planning, brainstorming, hooks, and workflow support
- Marketplace and monetization surfaces for creator-focused premium features and supported offerings
- Safety and privacy controls including reporting, blocking, protected account data, and secure authentication patterns
How RevenueCat fits in
NovaED is integrating the RevenueCat SDK as the entitlement layer for premium mobile access. The goal is to keep the core social experience understandable while using RevenueCat for at least one paid premium purchase or subscription.
Premium access is designed around creator-focused upgrades such as Creator Boost and Pro features. RevenueCat handles purchase/entitlement state, while sensitive server-side secrets remain outside client code. The app uses the public RevenueCat SDK key on the client and reserves secret API credentials for backend-only use.
Discovery model
NovaED is designed around a balanced ranking concept rather than pure popularity. The working feed model combines engagement, watch/dwell time, monetization yield, and time decay, alongside a dedicated New & Rising experience so smaller creators have a realistic chance to surface.
Design
NovaED uses a light, futuristic creator-economy visual direction with high-resolution media, clean navigation, responsive phone/tablet layouts, and creator-focused dashboards. The goal is professional and modern rather than generic or playful.
Safety and privacy
The production path includes account-level authorization and data isolation, protected environment variables, server-side validation for sensitive monetization actions, file/input validation, fraud and duplicate-request protections, privacy policy, terms, community guidelines, creator monetization terms, and account-deletion instructions.
Current Shipaton work
The Shipaton build is focused on completing RevenueCat premium access, production QA, mobile testing, store-ready assets, and a concise device demo that shows the creator workflow and premium experience.
Why it matters
Creators often have to piece together publishing, analytics, monetization, workflow, and discovery across separate services. NovaED is designed to bring those pieces into one product while giving emerging creators more visibility and clearer monetization tools.
The long-term goal is to make creator growth more accessible, measurable, and sustainable without removing creator control from the process.
