NOVA – Empowering Students Through Technology, Innovation, and Opportunities.

Inspiration

NOVA was inspired by the need to make student life simpler, smarter, and more connected. Students often struggle to find useful resources and opportunities across different platforms. We wanted to create a single digital space that supports students in their learning, growth, and future success.

How we built it

We built NOVA as a web-based platform with a focus on simplicity, accessibility, and user-friendly design. We used Google AI Studio to develop the website, managed our code through GitHub, and deployed it using Vercel to make it accessible online.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was deploying the website and making it accessible to users without requiring them to log in to Vercel. We also worked through deployment settings, domain configuration, and testing to ensure the website could be accessed through a public link.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have developed NOVA into a live, publicly accessible website. We successfully connected our development workflow with GitHub and Vercel and made the platform available for others to explore and test.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how to develop and deploy a web application, manage code using GitHub, configure deployment settings, troubleshoot technical issues, and make a website publicly accessible. We also learned the importance of testing and improving a product based on user needs.

What's next for NOVA

Our next goal is to expand NOVA with more student-focused features, such as personalized learning resources, AI-powered assistance, internship and hackathon discovery, and career development tools. We aim to make NOVA a smarter, more useful platform that helps students discover opportunities and achieve their goals.
