Our aim is to help children learn about technology through engaging, story-driven entertainment—using anime and cartoons that spark curiosity, build knowledge, and make complex ideas fun and accessible.

Inspiration

Nova Chronicles was born from a simple question:

What if ancient wisdom and futuristic AI were part of the same story?

While exploring real historical sites—Sanchi, Ellora, Konark, Mahabalipuram, Machu Picchu, Nalanda—we noticed patterns: geometry, astronomy, engineering, and symbolic logic were embedded everywhere. These ancient systems resembled modern computational thinking.

We wanted to create an anime that: • Combines adventure + ancient tech + AI mystery • Feels like Doraemon and Kiteretsu in warmth • Has the pace of Jujutsu Kaisen • And the world-mystery tone of Made in Abyss

Our goal became clear: Build India’s first global AI-powered anime IP with 12 interconnected episodes and a living world.

What it does

Nova Chronicles is a tech-mystery anime series where three teenagers—Nova, Meera, and Ravi—discover an ancient AI orb whose memory is broken into twelve “shards.”

Each episode sends them to a new historical site where they: • Decode puzzles • Unlock ancient mechanisms • Recover knowledge fragments • Outrun a shadowy Syndicate • Piece together a lost global technology

The project currently includes: • A complete EPISODE 1 OF Season 1 world, arc, and lore guide • A 30-second teaser script • A full AI-production workflow for animation

The result is a story-first anime universe powered by AI tools for concept art, animation, editing, voice, and music.

How we built it

🧠 Story & Worldbuilding • Wrote complete narrative scripts for Episodes 1–6 • Designed the full 12-episode season • Built character profiles, locations, villains, and lore • Created a consistent tone: 70% mystery, 30% fun

🎨 Visual & Pre-Production

We used AI to produce: • Concept shots • Character tests • Environment explorations • Storyboards • Scene prompts

Tools included: CHATGPT, STEVE.AI 🎞️ Animation Pipeline (from Production Guide) 1. Script 2. Shotlist + Motion Prompts 3. Character & location stills 4. AI animation passes 5. Editing (CapCut / Resolve) 6. Voice (ElevenLabs) 7. Music + SFX 8. YouTube-ready export

🔊 Sound & Music • Voice acting → ElevenLabs • Sound effects → Freesound, Zapsplat • Music → AI composition tools & YT Studio

Challenges we ran into

  1. Keeping characters consistent

AI tends to change faces/style between shots. We had to design a strict character-consistency workflow using reference boards and prompt locking.

  1. Maintaining a unified art style

Different tools generate different looks. We built a pipeline to unify style across Scenario, Runway, and AnimateLC.

  1. Writing 12 episodes at production quality

Each script needed accurate historical details, pacing, and puzzle logic.

  1. Balancing realism with fun anime tone

Since the story uses real sites (e.g., Ellora, Konark), we researched symbols, carvings, and architecture deeply.

  1. AI animation limitations

Complex scenes (crowds, hand gestures, intricate movement) required creative editing, cuts, and motion tricks.

Accomplishments that we’re proud of • Created India’s first full AI-powered anime IP concept • Completed 6 full episodes with global locations and puzzles • Designed a full AI animation production pipeline with no studio equipment • Wrote a 30-second teaser structured like a professional TV promo • Developed characters with depth, humor, and emotional arcs • Built a storyworld that can scale into Season 2, games, merch, and interactive spin-offs

Most importantly: We proved that a small team can build a global-scale anime universe using AI + creativity.

What we learned

  1. AI accelerates creativity — not replaces it

We discovered that the real magic happens when human storytelling + AI tools combine.

  1. Pre-production is everything

If scripts, storyboards, and references are strong → animation becomes smoother.

  1. Good prompt engineering = good animation

Shot composition, camera motion, lighting, and character details all depend on precise prompts.

  1. Worldbuilding builds fanbase

Viewers engage deeper when the world feels consistent, mysterious, and alive.

  1. Cross-cultural research matters

Each episode required reading history, mythology, and architecture to ensure authenticity.

What’s next for NOVA CHRONICLES

🎬 1. Producing full Episode 1 animation (10–15 min)

Using the pipeline we developed.

📺 2. Launching a YouTube Season Premiere

Teaser → Ep1 → Ep2–3 weekly.

🎨 3. Releasing character art, posters, OST, and BTS reels

Building community early.

🎮 4. Mini-game prototypes

Puzzle-based mobile mini-games inspired by each episode.

📘 5. Artbook + Lorebook

As the fanbase grows.

🧩 6. Expanding Season 2

With new locations, new villains, and deeper orb mysteries.

🎥 7. Pitching to Anime Platforms

Crunchyroll, Netflix Anime, Amazon MiniTV, Disney Hotstar.

Nova Chronicles is just getting started — and every shard unlocks a new adventure.
