Inspiration
Multiple people in our group take various types of medications. We have found that tracking how they all interact, especially with supplements, can be hard and often dangerous if you are not sure how.
What it does
It tracks every type of medication and supplement any one person is taking. It then describes how the different medications interact and warns the user of any health concerns or complications.
How we built it
We are using Figma to design the look and interactions of our app. With enough time we plan to use Android Studio and Java to actually create a working app.
Challenges we ran into
We had a lot of time issues as we had to travel and also do work for our job while making the app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It was a huge deal for our school to come to Technica, and creating this as a team has been a great accomplishment for us. Additionally, the four of us all have very different skill sets, so we each got to learn a lot from each other and really expand our skill sets in designing/programming MedMap.
What we learned
We all learned a lot about Figma and how to work as a team!
What's next for MedMap
For version two, we would like to add a section where users can add their dependents' medications as well. This could be helpful for parents who are tracking their children's medications or anyone who is a caregiver to someone else. Also given more time we would like to actually implement code using Android Studio and Java.
