NoUploadConverter

Inspiration

Traditional cloud file converters force users to upload confidential legal agreements, medical scans, tax returns, and personal photos to remote third-party servers. We built NoUploadConverter to fundamentally eliminate this privacy vulnerability.

What it does

NoUploadConverter provides 67+ client-side file transformation tools across PDF, image, audio, video, and archive formats. Everything runs 100% locally inside the user's browser memory (RAM) using WebAssembly and HTML5 Canvas. Your files never touch external servers or cloud databases.

How we built it

• Next.js 14 & React with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
• WebAssembly & Canvas Engines executing binary parsing and rasterization directly on client hardware.
• Service Worker (PWA) pre-caching conversion runtimes for full offline capability without internet.

Challenges we ran into

Compiling complex file manipulation libraries to pure client-side WebAssembly without requiring server-side Node.js runtimes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Zero server bandwidth and compute costs.
• Unlimited file size handling directly constrained only by user device memory.
• Full offline PWA support and zero tracking.
