Mapping Traffic Crash Data

Inspiration

• Open Data Nottingham releases information about traffic accidents.
• I wanted to find patterns in the data and put them on a map.

How it works

• View the data by area/time of day/where pedestrian injured etc.

Challenges I ran into

• Would be nice to have more information like vehicle type

What I learned

• This was one of my first leaflet/mapbox projects and I learnt a lot about mapping and displaying data based on different filters. There are many more open source products around now that I would make use of.

What's next

Expand to more cities when data is released and also improve the UI
