💡 Inspiration

For the "AI Apocalypse" theme, most people focus purely on the doom and gloom—the idea that robots will destroy jobs. We wanted to build something actionable. The inspiration for NotReplaced.ai came from a simple truth: AI won't replace you, but a person using AI will. We wanted to create a tool that not only tells you your automation risk but equips you with a "Survival Roadmap" to stay irreplaceable.

⚙️ What it does

NotReplaced.ai is a sleek, modern web platform that analyzes any profession and provides a comprehensive AI threat assessment. When a user types in their job (e.g., "Graphic Designer"), the app delivers:

  • Threat Level Gauge: A dynamic percentage risk with a timeline.
  • AI Co-Pilot: Recommended AI tools the user must learn right now to adapt.
  • Human Edge: The irreplaceable "soft skills" AI cannot replicate in that specific job.
  • Survival Roadmap: A step-by-step guide spanning from "Now" to "3 Years" to future-proof their career.

🛠️ How we built it

We engineered the frontend using Next.js (App Router) and Tailwind CSS, focusing on a premium, dark-mode cyberpunk aesthetic with glassmorphism and Lucide icons. For the backend analysis engine, we integrated the Google Gemini API (gemini-3-flash-preview). We crafted highly specific prompt engineering to force the LLM to output structured JSON data, citing real-world economic trends for credibility.

🚧 Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was ensuring the AI didn't just generate generic advice. We had to heavily iterate on the Gemini prompt to ensure it returned specific, actionable roadmaps and cited data intelligence rather than vague statements. Formatting the UI to elegantly display this complex JSON data in a responsive grid was also a tough but rewarding challenge.

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud of the UI/UX. It doesn't look like a typical weekend hackathon project; it feels like a ready-to-launch SaaS product. We are also proud of implementing the "Methodology Disclosure" modal to be fully transparent about our AI usage, perfectly complying with the hackathon rules.

To comply with the guidelines, we are disclosing our AI usage:

  • Data Generation: Threat percentages, timelines, and roadmaps are generated by Google Gemini based on aggregated economic trends.
  • Development Process: AI was utilized heavily during the prototyping and coding phase to accelerate UI styling and CSS animations. AI was NOT used to conceptualize the core idea or write the presentation.
