Inspiration

Who said humans dont hibernate? we all do lol, which is nice, but coming outta the hibernation phase is important as well. Our project revolves around fun, but also would require you to be fast and attentive to win. Show our panda (brand ambassador) that you're the fastest type racer in your squad, that too musically themed up. Your keyboard is not a keyboard anymore, its a piano <3.

What it does

not your type is a typeracer game, where users can create/join rooms or participate alone. They can share the room invite to your friends via sendgrid powered email invitations. Then, they'll need to type down the paragraph that is given, in 30 seconds. As they type down the letters, music plays as if your keyboard is a piano, cool right? That's how it goes, and when the timer is up, users would be redirected to the leaderboard screen, and they can also get the results to their mobile number via twilio powered sms.

📧 Use of twilio

We used twilio's sendgrid to send invite emails to user's friends, which would have the joining link as well as the QR code to directly scan and start playing. Moreover, we also integrated twilio's sms service which the user can use to get results at the end of the game, directly into their phone as a text message.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of completing this project in time. Also we were new to twilio tech to send/receive email/sms, still we managed to add these features in this web application.

What we learned

We learned how to use twilio with our web application, also we learned how to make project easy and doable in time by dividing work to each member to build a web application using flask.
