Inspiration

Building Something to test our skills with Data Manipulation, Cross Platform App Development and Machine Learning.

What it does

It Collects the Accelerometer Data of a Smartphone and assigns a comfort rating to a route.

How we built it

We built the Android/iOS apps using React-Native and the Operations on the Data Are Done with Python as a Backend. We also utilized various Here Maps APIs, for getting the location and for other functions

Challenges we ran into

Getting proper Data , for simulating a road's ride was difficult without a car, the 2nd biggest challenge was to use the Here api to display an overlay of our data on the map.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Manipulating Data with pure statistics, which also increases the speed. Creating a proof of concept page with sample data overlayed on the Map

What we learned

1. Never underestimate maths.
