Inspiration
Many of my customers struggled to find contact details to have orders picked up. I built Notify to rectify this issue.
What it does
Notify collects both customer and order information, displays it in a nice, easily accessible table. Notify has a lot of other features, such as properly formatting phone numbers to ensure deliverability.
How we built it
Notify is built using latest in technology and rests on the Django framework. It is hosted and maintained by me.
Challenges we ran into
Tons. Ensuring deliverability, formatting numbers, and just handling a massive amount of data. It really was my first experience with "large" scale deployment.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Biggest thing is processing data at scale. At the writing of this post, Notify has processed 112,397 orders. Businesses have come to rely on it daily.
What we learned
Be open to feedback! Notify would not be where it is today if I only built what I wanted or was capable of building at that time. It has pushed me to meet the needs of customers and grow my skills.
What's next for Notify Customers
Scale, scale, scale. We add about 20 users a week. The size of this app is only growing! With that will come some unique challenges!
