NotesHub - One Platform for All Exam Notes

Inspiration

Before every exam, students waste hours searching for notes in WhatsApp groups, Telegram and Google Drives. I wanted to solve this scattered notes problem with one centralized platform.

What it does

NotesHub is a centralized platform where students can:

• Find DBMS, Java, and all semester notes in one place
• View and download notes instantly
• Share their own notes with juniors
• Organize notes subject-wise for quick exam prep

How we built it

Built completely on phone without laptop as a solo beginner project.

• Frontend: React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS
• Backend: Node.js, Express.js
• Database: MongoDB / Oracle DB
• Version Control: Git & GitHub

Challenges we ran into

• Building the whole project on mobile phone
• Learning GitHub integration and deployment as a beginner
• Managing file uploads and organizing notes by subjects
• Making UI responsive for both mobile and desktop

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Successfully built a working platform that solves a real student problem
• Completed as a solo project from scratch
• Clean UI and easy navigation for students

• Add user login & authentication
• Add Java backend for better performance
• Search and filter by subject, semester, and branch
• Like, bookmark and rating system for notes
• Mobile app version
