Inspiration
Not a lot of study resources are made free for students looking to supplement their education. Education has become privatized in a way that restricts resources from those who need it most.
What it does
Students can upload notes and solutions to past assignments or textbook questions for their classes to make notes more accessible to others.
How we built it
We used React to build a web app and hosted it on Firebase. We used bs4 for webscraping McMaster course websites for class codes and descriptions.
Challenges we ran into
Most of the team was unfamiliar with React and Firebase so there was an expected learning curve to overcome.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The final product was successfully hosted on Firebase and is fully accessible to the public.
What we learned
We learned the basics of developing and hosting web applications.
