Inspiration
Looked over and saw some sheet music and thought "hey why not". Made with beginners in mind. Even though it may be good to write out the note letters yourself as a beginner to learn them better, that's kind of useless without a way to check if you got them right. If you didn't, you might end up learning the wrong notes.
What it does
Takes an image of sheet music, labels each note with the corresponding letter, and exports it as another image. Requires user to line up a box with the staff on the sheet music to figure out where the lines and spaces are.
How I built it
Python, Pygame. Uses average colour to determine where notes are.
Challenges I ran into
I wasn't planning on making anything for MasseyHacks so coming up with a doable idea on short notice was challenging.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
It works pretty much how I planned and didn't take too long to make.
What I learned
Efficiency and organization.
What's next for notes
Work with different clefs, types of notes.
