Inspiration
We noticed how students and professionals often struggle with scattered, unorganized notes across devices. Searching for key information or revising from long notes wastes valuable time. This inspired us to create NoteNest, an AI-driven note organizer that transforms plain text into structured, summarized, and searchable insights.
What We Learned
While building NoteNest, we deepened our understanding of prompt engineering, API integration, and real-time AI text processing. We also explored how Gemini’s generative capabilities can enhance productivity by generating meaningful summaries and categories dynamically.
How We Built It
We developed NoteNest using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend and integrated the Gemini API to handle summarization, tagging, and insight generation. Each note is processed through Gemini’s text model to produce concise, context-aware outputs that improve with every entry.
Challenges We Faced
Integrating the Gemini API efficiently for fast, accurate responses was a key challenge. We also faced hurdles in maintaining context across multiple notes and ensuring the UI remained clean and responsive while handling asynchronous AI calls.
