Notefull

Notefull is a free, open-source notes and lists app for Android — built to be simple, private, and lightweight. No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Just your notes, on your device.

✨ What's New in v6 (Summer Update)

Notefull has been overhauled. It now adds full AI search, a full reminder system, trash system (recycle bin), and more. This means:

  • A smoother, faster experience overall with revmaped entire UIs
  • Smarter Search
  • A overhauled experience with new trash and reminder systems
  • A lot of bugs are now fixed

⏰ Reminders

Set a reminder on any note or list, and Notefull will notify you right on your device when it's time. No accounts, no cloud sync needed — it all runs locally on your phone. (They maybe slighly delayed due to android restrictions to prevent wastage of battery)

Trash

Deleted some notes/lists bymistakely or want to multiple notes/lists for bulk deletion? Now it's possible, now you can recover deleted notes/lists, think twice before deleting your data, or just empty space for new thoughts! Introducing Trash a.k Recycle Bin Feature.

🤖 Smart AI Search (Optional)

Notefull now includes an optional smart search feature. Instead of just matching keywords, you can ask it things in plain language — like "when is my meeting tomorrow?" — and it'll find the answer directly from your notes.

A few things worth knowing about it:

  • It's optional. This feature isn't part of the base app install — you choose to turn it on, and it downloads a small AI model only when you do. This keeps the regular app small for everyone who doesn't need it.
  • It's fully private. Everything runs directly on your phone. Nothing is ever sent to a server, no internet needed once it's downloaded, and no data about your notes ever leaves your device.
  • It's fully Free You don't have to worry about credits. This model is 100% free and unlimted usage. As it is an on-device-AI, when using this feature on very large notes/lists, it may lead to performance issues that are beyong our control.
  • It's still early. This feature is new and being actively improved, so you might run into rough edges. Feedback is always welcome.

Credit where it's due: this feature is powered by the open-source DistilBERT model (Sanh, Debut, Chaumond & Wolf, 2019), trained on the SQuAD dataset, and runs using Transformers.js by Hugging Face. Both are open-source and licensed under Apache 2.0.

📱 Will it work on my phone?

Notefull is built to run well on most Android phones, not just high-end ones.

  • Works on Android 7 and up (Android 10+ recommended for the best experience)
  • No special hardware needed
  • The base app is small and lightweight — it only grows as you add more notes and lists
  • The optional AI search feature requires a one-time download if you choose to enable it and that's we have optimuized that it can run on all low-mid range devices. Slight performace issues maybe faced.

Notefull is fully open-source. You're welcome to look through the code, suggest improvements, or report issues.

Notefull is developed by a class 9 student solo dev that's me. I developed Notefull for best user experience, modern day apps are bloated with ads, premium, and sometimes AI. So, i created Notefull to be the best-notes app that is transparent, not annoying but also modern with completely optional AI features too that are also 100% free.

Notefull is actively being improved, with more stability fixes, new features, and a smoother experience on the way.
