Inspiration

Musicians should be free to focus on perfecting their craft, not bogged down by the complexities of managing their finances. That's how we came up with NoteFlow, a website that will reimagine the world of musician money management.

What it does

Our platform harnesses the power of cutting-edge Generative AI to craft personalized budgets, find performance opportunities, create calendars for upcoming events, and assess financial health using scoring—all tailored to the unique needs of musicians and/or band. Artists can also engage with our intelligent chatbot, offering tailored insights and answers to questions prompted by the website.

NoteFlow is more than just a tool—it's the future of financial management for musicians.

How we built it

We used Python to interface with the Google Gemini opt-2 API and to parse the responses depending on what we were using the API for (ie: budget, finance health score, gigs, etc). We also used Typescript for the frontend development and to allow the AI API output from the Python code to appear on the final website page.

Challenges we ran into

This was our first time interacting with an AI API in Python. Furthermore, we struggled a bit with trying to connect the output of the AI API to the Typescript in real-time was a challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We all tried new things that expanded our repertoire of coding skills. We are proud of all the amazing things that we learned about interfacing with AI API's. We are also very proud of our teamwork throughout the weekend despite the challenges that we faced. No matter what each of us can say that we put our best foot forward with this project and for that we are very proud of ourselves.

What we learned

We learned how to use an open-source Generative AI API and incorporate it into a real-life problem. We also learned how to make sleek designs using Typescript for our website.

What's next for NoteFlow

Up next we would like to fix some functionality gaps in our website as well as add more features that utilize Gemini's AI API to help make financing easier for musicians worldwide. After this would would love to make NoteFlow into a mobile app. This way musicians will have easier access to their accounts.
