Inspiration
Students face massive amounts of study material, which makes preparing for exams overwhelming and time-consuming. We were inspired to create Notebook Study to bridge this gap by using AI to transform raw study notes and documents into structured, interactive learning tools.
What it does
Notebook Study is an AI-powered EdTech platform that automatically turns study notes and files into comprehensive summaries, interactive study guides, and customized quizzes. It helps learners retain key information faster and practice effectively for exams.
How we built it
We built Notebook Study using Node.js and Python for the backend infrastructure, integrated with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for cloud hosting. The application utilizes modern AI LLMs to analyze text, generate summaries, and craft dynamic quiz questions for students.
Challenges we faced
Handling diverse file formats and ensuring high accuracy in AI-generated summary content was a major hurdle. We worked extensively on optimizing prompt structures and response times to keep the learning experience seamless and reliable.
What we learned
We gained valuable insights into optimizing AI processing workflows, managing cloud infrastructure scalability, and creating an intuitive UI/UX that lowers the study friction for students.
What's next for Notebook Study
We plan to expand our B2B features for educational institutions, integrate real-time collaborative study tools, and enhance our personalized AI study recommendations based on student performance.
