Inspiration
What were intrigued that despite the plethora of school resource platforms geared towards student, there was a lack of a platform specific to student collaboration on class notes and other study material.
What it does
This web application is meant to provide a platform for students to upload their lecture notes, which are then aggregated into a master notes document that students can reference.
How I built it
We used HTML/CSS frontend, flask/javascript backend, mongo database, and AWS Comprehend.
Challenges I ran into
Downloading and configuring the software took a long time. We are also very new to web application development and used several softwares we were unfamiliar with.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Creating a working platform that connects students and encourages course-related collaboration. We are also very proud that we combined a multitude of platforms into a functioning application despite the obstacles we encountered.
What I learned
We learned how to code a user interface with HTML, set up a database using MongoDB, and use Flask to connect the front end with the backend.
What's next for NOTEATTUDE
We want to compile the notes of the different students and merge the notes together to have a comprehensive document for students study. We also want to allow different types of documents to be uploaded such as pdfs and pictures.
