Inspiration

As a digital notetaker myself, I have found OneNote super annoying to use as it's bloated with unnecessary features, making it slow and unstable. It also has no features that have really helped me.

What it does

NoteAble is an easy-to-use, cross-platform, note-taking app that aims to solve the aforementioned problems by reducing unnecessary, resource-intensive features and adding useful, student-focused features that would make life better for students.

How we built it

The front-end is a web app made with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This makes it fully cross-platform and easily extensible. This is run by an Electron app that handles saving and loading files. The back-end can be switched out for a web server to make it a fully online solution with cloud saves, but we have not done that given the limited time we had available.

Challenges we ran into

Getting the app to work with all types of pointing devices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the app to work with all types of pointing devices.
