Inspiration

As students, we constantly are sitting in lectures and club meetings, struggling to juggle keeping up with a quick paced conversation and recording notes for future reference. Through our product, we eliminate half of the problem.

What it does

Note-ify records and then transcribes all of your lectures and meetings, and then allows you to highlight key words and phrases and download only the most important information into a text file.

How we built it

We used a React, Node, Express stack to build our website. We utilized rev.ai's accurate speech-to-text api to fuel the main goal of our project.

Challenges we ran into

Learning React is difficult in a short period of time, and interfacing the various components that build up this project proved to be a great challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have a functioning website that will transcribe an uploaded video, and allow you to highlight key words and phrases and download them. We got an end to end product implemented within 24 hours.

What we learned

Coding continuously is a hard task, and that ensuring the existence of a clear vision and knowledge of how to get there is vital to operating smoothly as a software team.

What's next for note-ify

Future features that we have in mind include adding a database to allow you to store previous transcripts, live rendition of speech-to-text generation, and more annotative and data analysis options for the user.
