Inspiration
I opened up Godot, started doing stuff, and just went with it from there.
What it does
It's a small game where you shoot hordes of enemies that increase in difficulty at higher waves while the player slowly gets bonuses to their damage output.
How I built it
I used the built in Godot code editor to write the game in GDScript, and GIMP to create visuals for it.
Challenges I ran into
There were a lot of bugs, which got increasingly hard to fix as I kept losing sleep, and being new to Godot didn't help there, but I got it done at least.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Successfully making a small game in an engine I'm unfamiliar with felt like a pretty good accomplishment. I'm proud of that I think.
What I learned
I learned the basic structure of a Godot project and how to get things done in GDScript.
What's next for Not Even Slightly Close To Vampire Survivors
I'll probably work on it a bit more in my spare time over the coming weeks. Could use some extra polish and content.
