Inspiration

Asians and Asian Americans are largely excluded, erased, and made invisible in the American narrative, both in the public eye and at school. The overall lack of APIDA representation partially contributes to the monolithic Asian American identity as a model minority.

While lesson plans and resources exist out there for including Asian-American voices in school curricula, people need something compelling to seek out those resources in the first place, beyond being reactionary to current events.

So how do we get people to care about our stories?

I propose doing so through awe and empathy using stories.

What it is

At its core, I'm proposing creating a go-to virtual hub for stories from the APIDA, Black and brown communities, from people like you and me who are living histories.
