Inspiration
When I first started writing, I shared my work on Instagram. But instead of encouragement, I often faced judgment and criticism for what I wrote. That experience made me realize that while creators have platforms built for them, writers don’t have a dedicated safe space. I wanted to build a platform where writers could freely express themselves, connect with like-minded people, and share their thoughts without the fear of being judged. That’s how NoOne’sJudging was born
What it does
NoOne’sJudging is a safe, distraction-free platform where writers can express their thoughts, poetry, and stories without fear of judgment. It provides a clean space for creativity, self-expression, and connecting with others who share the same mindset.
How we built it
We built NoOne’sJudging as a frontend prototype using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React for components and UI flow). The goal was to design an interactive demo that showcases how the platform would look and feel. Currently, it doesn’t have a backend, but the design and interactions simulate the real experience
Challenges we ran into
Creating a welcoming UI that feels safe and judgment-free. Designing everything as a frontend-only app without backend/database support.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building a working prototype that demonstrates the idea clearly. Designing a clean, distraction-free writing experience. Turning a personal pain point into a potential solution for many
What we learned
How to create meaningful projects even without full backend support. The importance of user experience and emotional design. How to communicate an idea through design and prototyping.
What's next for noOne'judging
Adding backend support with authentication and database for real users. Integrating AI moderation to keep the space safe from hate speech. Building features like customizable themes and private/public sharing. Expanding the platform into a mobile app.
