Inspiration
We wanted to simulate the excitement of opening a blind box! With the rise of blind boxes, people are invested in surprises and rewards. With this in mind, we created the noodle box timer.
What it does
The app allows users to open a blind box to reveal a noodle timer. Then, they are brought to a screen that times that specified noodle, such as cooking ramen.
How we built it
We used React as a framework and JavaScript, CSS, HTML as our primary languages.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges with the animations.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of completing the requirements we set out initially. Thus, it is a functional app with a pretty design. So, just like when one buys a blind box with their hard-earned money and shakes it vigorously, we implemented this experience into our web-app to reveal a cute noodle timer!
What we learned
We learned how to use different tools such as React, JS, CSS, HTML to implement the app.
What's next for Noodle Box
In the future, if we were given more time, we would like to implement more noodle timers. We were also discussing the possibility of implementing a rewards system and a mini game feature. So users would play web-games to earn points to be able to open more blind boxes for more timers.
