What it does
Allows users to sort through various nonprofits and see which ones have the soundest tax history.
How we built it
We used Jupyter Notebook to organize and come up with a formula to rate nonprofits, then put that data into html/css/javascript.
Challenges we ran into
We initially tried to use a Javascript API, but were not allowed access and we could not get a valid key in time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Coming up with an algebraic equation to calculate the quality of non-profits.
What we learned
A lot about taxes, Javascript APIs, and parsing large amounts of data.
What's next for Non-Profit Seeker
In the future, we would want to add more charities for people to look up.
