Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project was our friends and family members who have spent hours picking the perfect restaurant, only to be met with unreasonably long lines.

What it does

Ranks nearby restaurants by busyness and popularity so that you can make smarter choices about where to eat.

How we built it

We used Google's Places API to determine nearby restaurants and gather metrics about popularity hour-by-hour. We incorporated it into an Android application for ease of access.

Challenges we ran into

Google Places API was incomplete and didn't include wait times, so we had to use a 3rd party application to provide them.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to rank the restaurants based on proximity, rating and wait time. We finished!
