Inspiration

We wanted to create a lighthearted food-themed experience that feels instantly fun while encouraging friendly competition through score chasing.

What it does

NomNom is a 2D food-fetching game where players race to collect as much food as possible before time runs out. Every pickup increases the score, and players can compare results on the leaderboard to compete with friends.

How we built it

The game was built as a 2D experience with simple movement and collision mechanics. We integrated the Leaderboard component to submit scores at the end of each run and display rankings, making competition a core part of the gameplay loop.

Challenges we ran into

We had challenges to make the game fast paced and store scores in Leaderboard

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a game in which the leaderboard integration adds strong replay value and makes every run feel meaningful.

What we learned

We learnt to build 2D game with the Leaderboard component

What's next for NomNom

We plan to add new food types, special power-ups, and additional game modes to deepen gameplay and keep players coming back for more.
