Inspiration
Picture this: You're a college student racing against time, trying to find that elusive parking spot on campus. And even when you finally snag one, the relentless meter fees drain your pockets faster than you can say "student budget." But fear not, because we've got the ultimate game-changer for you – NoMeter!
NoMeter is not your average parking app; it's your ticket to stress-free parking in Pittsburgh.
Note: This is a proof of concept :)
What we used
NoMeter was crafted by a group of savvy college students armed with JavaScript with React.js and a handful of AWS services, such as DynamoDB for the database, AWS Lambda to house our APIs, and AWS Amplify to speed the resource provisioning process.
UI Breakdown
Imagine a loading screen that teases you with a map, our sleek logo, and a question that sparks your curiosity: "Where do you want to park?" The excitement builds as you hit the search button, unleashing a set of questions that will be your keys to parking paradise.
"How long are you willing to walk?" – Set your radius, be it a short stroll or a leisurely walk. Simultaneously, "How long are you parking for?" prompts you to input the magic numbers, whether it's in miles or hours. Your preferences become the secret sauce for NoMeter's magic.
With a swift click on "Find Parking," you're transported to a list of options that could be your next hangout spot – a restaurant, a cafe, you name it. Each option comes with a listed distance, guiding you effortlessly to your destination without the parking headaches.
NoMeter isn't just an app; it's your parking sidekick, your secret weapon against the chaos of campus parking. Say goodbye to endless circling and meter anxiety – NoMeter is here to make your parking experience as smooth as a Sunday drive. So, buckle up, hit the streets, and let NoMeter be your guide to stress-free parking adventures!
