Inspiration
We liked the awareness part of the hackathon. It sounded interesting, not too easy but not too difficult.
What it does
It trains 2 neural networks to detect a bias in the news source, given a link.
How we built it
used libraries to create a webscraper and 2 varieties of neural networks in python. The two neural networks are Multinomial Naive Bayes and Linear Support Vector Classifier
Challenges we ran into
unclear functions in libraries, especially numpy
Accomplishments that we're proud of
actually getting it to work.
What we learned
we learned how to webscrape, what websites can be webscraped & use neural networks/matrices.
What's next for NomaHacks19
I would of liked to add a python webserver that would allow people to submit links and get a response back to the webpage.
