NoFriendGPT

Inspiration

Singaporeans are non confrontational by nature. We felt that Singaporeans need some practice without the need to ruin friendships.

What it does

This chatbot allows the user to simulate difficult confrontation, potentially enabling them to build up confidence speaking up.

How we built it

This chatbot was build with a pre-trained OpenAI model, with additional fewshot learning process. The model further enhances the conversation by having previous conversation history as context to allow for more logical argument.

Challenges we ran into

None of us have any Large Language Model (LLM) prior knowledge coming into this hackathon. Being a web application, several of our members have to pick up the skill on the spot and code long hours without rest. All the members also lack knowledge in Cloud Services and have to dynamically learn as the project progresses. It's also difficult to generate out a high accuracy output from the model, resulting in the team trying several iterations before identifying the best possible prompt.

Able to code under pressure and time constrained. Able to create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
