Inspiration Millions of elders live far from their children. Texting apps are too complex for them, and daily "are you okay?" calls feel like a chore for both sides. We wanted something that takes one tap.

What it does Elder mode has a giant "I'm okay" check-in, a Help button with a 5-second countdown that escalates to family, and a feed of family photo and voice moments, with no typing and no text messages. Family mode shows a dashboard (today's check-in, a 7-day strip), alerts, and a way to post moments. Missed check-ins trigger a reminder and then an alert to family.

How we built it FastAPI, Postgres/Supabase and a DB-backed worker on the backend. Expo React Native on mobile, built with EAS. The backend is the only judge of Plus access. RevenueCat (Test Store) handles purchases, and the server confirms them through webhooks and refresh before granting anything.

Challenges Making billing error-proof, with idempotent webhooks and a Day Pass granted only after server confirmation. Keeping elders away from any payment UI. Building on limited RAM using cloud builds.

What's next Recipes with an AI voice assistant, a music hub, Android launcher mode, widgets, SMS/voice escalation, iOS, and a Galaxy Store launch.
