Using an arduino and a raspberry pi, we were able to build a gas sensor that detects when foods in your fridge are going bad. If the gas amount goes over a certain threshold a twitter bot will tweet you, recommending you clean your fridge, and use up the food that is going bad. For future work, we would have more specific sensors that can tell you which foods are specifically going bad and maybe an app that recommends recipes to use your soon to expire food with.
