With the Coronavirus pandemic our life has come to a halt and many of us have had to stay at home. One of the big problems that has arisen is how to go shopping while keeping a safe distance in small shops.
What if we could organize ourselves so that we don't gather in the shops and avoid queuing in the street?
o The solution you bring to the table
Today we have many mobile applications that help us organize our lives and make everything easier.
We propose one that connects the merchant with his client. The customer will be able to place an order and the shopkeeper will let him know when it is ready. The app can arrange a time to pick up the order in the shop, avoiding coinciding with other customers.
The use of the application will be easy, even for the elderly. At an early stage, the client could make the order by voice and the merchant will receive the record. In the future, the application will be able to transcribe the recording, so that the client may check the list and the merchant will receive both, text and voice order.
This would be very usefull in a small food trade. But it could be used in many types of businesses such as bars, clothing stores, stationery shops..., leaving time to condition the premises between client and client with the hygiene measures of the coronavirus.
o What you have done during the weekend During the weekend we have analyzed all aspects of the proposal, developing the business case and have built the mock up.
o The solution’s impact to the crisis
This application would boost small business purchases during the pandemic.
On these days it is very common to see people on the street queuing up until it is their turn to enter the store. The small shops are very limited in size, having to enter one by one.
Not everyone is equally aware of the security measures established by the coronavirus, generating situations of distress in other customers, for not wearing a mask, not keeping their distance, ... As a result, customers choose to buy over the Internet or move to large stores, where the space is much larger, reducing the earnings of small business.
o The necessities in order to continue the project We would need an apple programmer, UX designer and financing for the project.
o The value of your solution(s) after the crisis
Once the pandemic is over, we are sure that many things are going to change. Many uses of technology have come to stay.
This application could become an added value for businesses, making it easier for customers to place their orders without waiting at opening time; traders could better organize their orders, without the need for anyone to answer the phone, by consulting the application in their free time,…
People who is working can easily make an order, not having to find the moment to call during work time. They can pick up the order after work without waiting at the shop.
