Inspiration

Everyone in my team is passionate about climate change and we are willing to help the environment in any safe way possible. We hope this website/game will encourage people to do a better job and change their habits.

What it does

This game calculates your carbon footprint and encourages you to make more impacts by giving you your score and how you impacted the environment. It also motivates people by allowing them to connect with their friends to compete in fun environmental challenges that make the earth a better, clean, place.

How we built it

We used Java and HTML, as well as CSS, and used BootStrap for reference.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges we ran into were trying to find the exact calculation for the carbon footprint, and translating that into code. Coding everything within the time frame was a hassle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how the calculator turned out, and the overall appearance of the website. We are also proud of how the functions of the buttons work as it should and lastly, we are proud that we are capable of doing something like this.

What we learned

We learned new styling techniques with CSS and learned how we can incorporate Java into HTML, as most of us did not know that was possible.

What's next for No Planet B!

We are thinking to also make it a place where people can donate to non-profit organizations, and we will accept donations and all proceeds will go to non-profits to make the world a better place.
