Inspiration
During quarantine, a lot of people have been packing on the pounds and one of those people is me. I do not like the unwanted pounds from staying at home all day. This is why we created No More Excuses which gives us no more excuses to not exercise because it provides a tailored workout to fit everyone's needs and a workout that requires no equipment.
What it does
This workout helps you ensure all your time is going to use, and not much of it is spent searching for a workout. It also greatly helps the types of people that are working all day (a huge group of people in America) and don't have much time to exercise. They would greatly benefit from this as it includes low-timed workouts along with easy quick searching.
How we built it
We decided to attend some HTML workshops and we saw that the instructor was using an application called - Visual Studio Code. Through the use of our background of coding knowledge and many different websites that taught us HTML and javascript, we coded a website with HTML and javascript on VS Code.
Challenges we ran into
Many of the functions we didn't know how to do and this was making it very tough. Throughout the whole hackathon, we would frequently be searching how to do general ideas like, how to change the style of the website. A major problem was color, we figured out how to change the color very late and when we did we had a very hard time choosing the colors.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are super proud of making a well-colored functioning website with inputs and results for each input. We are very happy with the outcome of our website appearance!
What we learned
We learned tons of new functions in javascript and HTML, learned how to make websites and tons of important coding information like that!
What's next for No More Excuses
We plan to expand our information to databases like iFit and make options for people such as if they want to find treadmill workouts they can click treadmill if they want video workouts they can click that! We also plan to make it dropdown boxes and increments of 50 calories, increments of 5 minutes.
