Inspiration
Realizing that many places in the world are heavily polluted inspired this game. It was made to raise awareness of the problem that pollution has become and to show people that if they put in the effort, they can have a positive effect on their environment.
What it does
This game allows a player to traverse a 3D environment, collecting and recycling trash for money within a minute time limit.
How we built it
This game was built in Unity using C# scripts and Unity's Probuilder for the 3D environment.
Challenges we ran into
One prominent challenge we ran into was getting our version control(git) to work with Unity and tracking project changes between team members.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to deliver a working game in a 3D environment that focuses on keeping one's community clean and the benefits of recycling. Another accomplishment that came with this project is making our first full fledged 3D game in Unity.
What we learned
We learned how to troubleshoot git version control issues and scale our game to be completed in 24 hours. We also learned more about Unity's 3D game creation. Additionally, we learned how to use our previous knowledge attained from coursework in a real-world setting to deliver a final product.
What's next for No Mo Litta
The next update would be implementing local multiplayer to create a party-game by competing for whoever picks up the most trash and earns the most money for recycling. Additionally, the next update could include a tycoon mode that allows the player to collect money and buy upgrades for as long as they want.
Credit for Assets & Font
We would like to thank Unity's asset store for the 3D objects. The font used was Itim from Google Fonts (https://fonts.google.com/selection?lang=en_Latn)
