How to open the bank account
Inspiration
As a team that consisted of many international students, we realized the challenges that incoming international students face when coming to Canada. Challenges included finding housing as well as opening a credit card account once they arrived in Canada. Our idea is to centralize the most crucial information for incoming students.
What it does
This website provides a service which includes finding the nearest RBC bank location as well as providing possible housing options depending on the chosen institution of the student. It also includes videos that can guide the user through the experience.
How we built it
To build this project, we used HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React to build our website. We also used Google maps API to help the user find the nearest bank location.
Challenges we ran into
We had some difficulties with implementing the Google Maps API.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud that we were able to help incoming students and make their experience better

We learned how to work in a team and how to collaborate
What's next for NNS (Newcomer Navigating System)
We hope to add more functionality by providing more services, such as the nearest grocery locations
