Every day, hotels, restaurants, hostels, and households throw away perfectly edible food while thousands of people still sleep hungry. We wanted to build a simple, no-code platform that bridges this gap instantly. The inspiration came from seeing food wasted during college events and local restaurants, and realizing that even one meal saved can change someone’s day.

What it does

NNR is a cross-platform food-redistribution platform where:

Hotels & restaurants can donate surplus food by uploading details + photos.

Volunteers nearby can pick up the food and deliver it safely to people in need.

Donors receive free promotional ads on the platform instead of credit points.

End users can also donate on behalf of someone who does not have a smartphone.

Everything is transparent, safe, location-based, and accessible across mobile, laptop, and tablet.

NNR reduces food waste and makes redistribution fast, safe, and community-driven.

How we built it

Built fully on Base44 using its no-code components.

Designed a responsive UI for phone, tablet, laptop, and PC.

Integrated pages for donors, volunteers, activity tracking, and food availability.

Created a clean teal/emerald visual identity and custom logo.

Added a donor advertising section as a unique feature to attract businesses.

Challenges we ran into

Designing a full food-donation workflow using only no-code tools.

Ensuring the interface worked well across all screen sizes.

Creating a safe, minimal process for volunteers to claim donations.

Structuring the donor-promotion system clearly within Base44’s limitations.

Keeping everything simple while solving a very large real-world problem.
