Inspiration
Niyemi Kitchen was inspired by the desire to bring homemade flavors online and make it easy for people to explore delicious Nigerian dishes. I wanted to create a simple platform where food lovers can get well made food with no stress.
What it does
The Niyemi-Kitchen website showcases different meals, provides descriptions, and gives users a clean and easy way to view what the kitchen offers. It’s basically a simple food-showcase website that highlights dishes and makes the brand look professional.
How we built it
The website was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I structured the pages with HTML, styled them for a clean and modern look using CSS, and used JavaScript to handle basic interactions and improve the user experience.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges included getting the website layout to look good on different screen sizes, handling images properly, and making sure the design looked organized. There were also small bugs and styling issues that took time to fix.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m proud that the website now looks clean, simple, and easy to navigate. I’m also proud that I was able to bring the Niyemi Kitchen brand online and create a space that represents the meals and the business.
What we learned
I learned more about structuring a website properly, organizing files, using images correctly, and improving my front-end skills. I also learned how important design, spacing, and simplicity are when building a brand website.
What's next for Niyemi-Kitchen website
Next, I plan to add more features like a menu page, contact form, order form, and maybe even online ordering. I also want to improve the design, add animations, and make the site fully responsive for all devices.
