About the Project

🌟 Inspiration

I am Nishant, the only child of my parents. However, before me, my family was blessed with a baby boy in 2002. Tragically, he passed away at birth—not because my parents couldn’t afford medicines, but because they couldn’t bear the cost of a medical consultation. This heartbreaking loss could have been prevented with accessible medical advice.

This personal tragedy became my mission: to ensure that no family loses a child due to a lack of affordable healthcare. I created ISH, an AI-powered medical chatbot, to provide instant, reliable healthcare guidance to anyone, anywhere.

💡 What It Does

ISH is an AI-driven healthcare assistant that offers:

  • Medical guidance based on symptoms and verified medical sources.
  • Medication dosage recommendations tailored to age and condition.
  • Diet plans that enhance recovery, recognizing that nutrition plays a more vital role than even medicine.

🏗 How We Built It

ISH was developed using:

  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) to understand and respond accurately to medical queries.
  • React & FastAPI to create a seamless and scalable user experience.
  • GitHub Copilot, which played a crucial role in:
    • Building the UI – Generating clean, optimized React components.
    • Developing NLP models – Assisting in structuring AI-powered responses.
    • Enhancing Code Quality – Auto-generating efficient, well-structured code.
