Inspiration
During the pandemic, I saw how difficult it was for people—especially the elderly and those in rural areas—to get quick medical help. That inspired me to build Nirogya, an AI health assistant that could support people with basic health needs like checking symptoms, finding nearby doctors, and even analyzing medical images like X-rays—all from one app.
What it does
Nirogya is an all-in-one AI health assistant app that helps users with:
- Getting medicine suggestions based on selected symptoms
- Finding doctors nearby using Google Maps
- Sending emergency alerts when help is needed
- Uploading X-ray or wound images to detect diseases (using AI)
- Simulating and recording pulse rate
- Generating monthly health reports with real-time data
- Logging in and storing personal data securely using Supabase
How we built it
I used Bolt.new to build everything—from designing the user interface to connecting APIs and managing data.
Challenges we ran into
- Securing API keys inside Bolt while keeping everything functional
- Making sure the user experience was smooth across screens
- Connecting different APIs (Maps, Supabase, Replicate) into one flow
- Managing user data properly across the app in real-time
Accomplishments we're proud of
- Built a fully working app with real features in Bolt—no extra coding needed
- Added real-time location and AI-powered image analysis
- Created a clean and easy UI that anyone can use
- Successfully saved and retrieved health data for different users using Supabase
What we learned
- How to build a real-world, multi-feature app using Bolt.new
- How to connect external APIs and databases to make the app dynamic
- How to design a simple and useful experience for users
- How to simulate health tracking and update records automatically
What’s next for Nirogya – AI Health Assistant
- Add a voice assistant (Hindi + English) using ElevenLabs
- Connect with a real Bluetooth heart/pulse sensor
- Add automatic reminders for health checks or medicine times
- Let users chat with doctors and book appointments from the app
