Inspiration
We have often seen in schools and colleges that teachers and professors have to use presentations ( slides ) for teaching. In this case, they either have to use an assistant to annotate and change the slide or use a PPT Controller but this requires an additional cost and external hardware support. Also, the time of another person is invested in this for controlling the presentation So the question that arises here is how can we cut the time invested as an assistant and cut down the additional hardware cost?
What it does
NIKRIT ai is a step to reach all teachers and professors who are looking for a modern solution to control the slides in their classrooms with ease. They will now have to use any controller or get a assistant to control the slides and annotate the slides
How we built it
We can make an AI assistant that works on basically two components of AI - Computer Vision and Hand Gesture Recognition. It will require no additional cost and it will work on your inbuilt camera. Just to make it more accurate and clear you can also use high definition cameras to make the hand tracking more efficient. By using this the professors and teachers won't be required to use an assistant or a ppt controller, they can just move their hands in the air and control the presentation.
Challenges we ran into
Making all of this in web with pixel perfect annotation also stops when there is pointer was a big challenge
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Created a whole presentation controller in web that can be deployed anywhere at scale
What we learned
computer vision web dev canvas API Hand tracking Presentation rendering
What's next for NIKRIIT AI
Deploy it to schools and colleges for testing
Built With
- azure
- hacktracking
