Inspiration Online shopping me sabse badi problem: kapde bina try kiye kharidna (high return rates) aur apni skin ko samjhe bina products chunna. Humne socha — agar AI skin ko samajh sake aur kapde virtually try kara sake, to dono problems ek app me solve ho jayein. Isliye banaya Nikhār — Hindi me "radiance".

What it does Nikhār AI do YouCam APIs ko ek premium app me jodta hai:

• Skin Lab — YouCam Skin AI se glow score, skin age, live camera analysis, shade matcher aur 12 skin concerns ke liye personalised routine builder
• Try-On Studio — YouCam Apparel VTO se realistic virtual try-on, garment catalog aur before/after slider
• Complete Look journey — skin se final outfit tak guided flow, progress tracker, lookbook, shareable glow-report, 4 Indian occasion look packs (Diwali, Shaadi, Office Ethnic, College Casual)
• Poora app Hindi aur English dono me, PWA support ke saath

How we built it Frontend: React + TypeScript + Vite + Tailwind CSS. Backend: Express (Node.js). YouCam Skin AI aur Apparel VTO APIs ko REST se integrate kiya, responses ko app ke state me normalize kiya. PWA ke liye service worker aur install prompts add kiye. Render pe deploy kiya (Singapore region).

Challenges we ran into

• YouCam API ke response formats ko app ke UI components se match karna
• Real-time camera analysis ko mobile browsers pe smooth rakhna
• Hindi/English toggle me har string ka accurate translation
• API quota ko efficiently use karna taaki demo me limit na lage

• Dono YouCam APIs (Skin AI + Apparel VTO) ek hi seamless app me — real API, no fake demo
• 1,040 API units ke saath live production deployment
• Hindi-first experience — Bharat ke users ke liye banaya gaya
• Shareable glow-report PNG jo users apne doston ko bhej sakte hain

What we learned Beauty-tech me sabse zyada matter karta hai trust — isliye har AI result ke saath clear labels aur honest confidence dikhaya. Aur seekha ki virtual try-on fashion eCommerce ke return-rate problem ka real solution hai.
