Inspiration
Nightmares is a smart deterrent node inspired by electronic warfare tactics.
What it does
Designed for coffee farms, it detects pests and triggers jamming signals using LED flashes and ultrasonic tones (simulated in-browser). This hackathon prototype focuses on procedural logic using JavaScript for easy browser-based demonstration.
How we built it
The project consists of: Procedural JavaScript code simulating a smart IoT trap HTML/CSS for strobe light and user interface Web Audio API to simulate ultrasonic sound Console logging to represent cloud event tracking (e.g., Firebase/MQTT) The detection, decision, and response system follows a real-world sensor → logic → action → logging pipeline, making it easy to port to microcontrollers like ESP32.
