I've always been fascinated by the psychology of dreams and how childhood memories bleed into our subconscious. After years of creating short films and cover art, I wanted to pioneer something completely new - multimedia psychological poetry that rewards deep engagement.
The idea came from exploring how a single dream can carry multiple meanings, and how symbols from our past follow us into sleep. I was inspired by the concept that our dreaming minds are constantly trying to communicate with our waking selves.
What I learned
This project taught me how to orchestrate multiple creative elements simultaneously - psychological storytelling, visual narrative, voice direction, sound design, and animation timing. I learned that constraints (like the 1400-character limit) actually enhance creativity by forcing every word to earn its place. Most importantly, I discovered how to use AI as a true creative partner rather than just a tool, while maintaining complete artistic control over every decision.
How I built it
I start with the psychological core - what hidden truth is the dream trying to reveal? Then I craft the narrative with planted symbols and double meanings. I create 12 cover art variations and 12 story-matching visual sequences, sync everything with mystical voice narration using Hume's Wise Wizard voice, add mystic forest ambient music, and animate each sequence to flow with the story beats. Each piece is designed as part of a trilogy structure that builds to mind-bending revelations.
Challenges faced
The biggest challenge was balancing multiple complex elements while maintaining emotional impact. Coordinating animation timing with narration beats, ensuring visual sequences enhance rather than distract from the story, and building psychological depth within strict character constraints required numerous iterations. Creating art that stands on its own merit rather than chasing algorithmic validation was both liberating and intimidating.
